Your Invisalign Journey

Your Invisalign Journey

Your Invisalign Journey Begins Today!

Post Op Information:

Wear the aligners full time. Aligners should be worn 22 hours per day. Take the aligners out only to eat, brush and floss. Remember Invisalign only works when you are wearing it!

Brush and floss your teeth after every meal before re-inserting your aligners. You may drink cold beverages only with the aligners. If you drink soda or any other sugar, citrus, or carbonated substances, be sure to take the aligners out and rinse them well to prevent tooth decay! Some drinks may stain aligners, like iced tea just as they would stain teeth. Avoid hot beverages as they may deform the plastic.

To clean your aligners, use toothpaste to scrub your aligners clean with a toothbrush as well as antibacterial soap. Some people have had success soaking aligners in denture cleaner. Keep aligners in the provided case when you are not wearing them to avoid losing them. Pets love aligners! Keep your aligners in your case and out of their reach. When changing to the next aligners we recommend doing so at night before bed. This allows a longer period of wearing those first few hours. This can minimize the discomfort.

For pain take TYLENOL NOT MOTRIN!

When you begin wearing a new set, they may not fit like you think they should. This is NORMAL. It is important that they fit well after a 1-week period. Keep your scheduled appointments! This is the only way we can be sure that your treatment is progressing as planned.

Failure to keep your scheduled appointments could create additional fees if new records are needed to complete treatment.
